Speechless!

Sade's creative team are coming up with the best artwork I've seen in a long, long, time. Beautiful.

Frog in My Throat

Well, it took the election of a black president, 25 years of Oprah's show, at least 900 years of the Cosby Show and over a thousand letters of protest for Disney to feature a black princess in it's movies after 75 years of making films (that's almost a century folks).

It is called The Princess and the Frog and it follows that unfailing good old, feel good, rags to riches, single parent, princess fairy tale formula that Disney are so good at pulling off.

I love Disney Princess movies. I was born 1985 I am genetically predisposed to loving Disney Princess movies. Pocahontas is my woman, name a scene and I can quote it back to front. The Princess and The Frog better live up to the heritage and she better not be a slave or something similar or I'm going to dig up Disney and smack him.

Here is the Trailer

Wooooo hoooo! Progress maaaaaaan! *she says sarcastically*

Thank you Barack Obama

Running (Through My Mind)

I've been recording this for the past week referencing the demos i did in the EMI studios last year.
It was so much fun.

Felt a bit like this

For those that can't tell, I'm hinting at speeding traffic, maybe a car crash or two. Nothing manic, just a little organised chaos. Lots of voices pretending to be earthquakes, others were pretending to bleed. It made me miss working with many, many voices. Anyway,  I loved every second. Thought I should write about it. Can't wait for it be heard.

Sounds Like ...

Hi beautiful readers.

How's it going today? So I just remembered something while updating my MyspaceBlog.

I remembered how much I adored Dave Gaydon, Head of Music at the Roundhouse Camden and I remembered most precisely the look he gave me when I told him I'd created a new genre; Rabid Ballads. He literally jumped, and then was disgusted. It was fabulous.

I dunno, I think it's kind of cute. I was into writing mid-tempo piano songs at the time and they were anything but soft and I wanted to express that.

So yes, sounds like? Rabid Ballads, Midday Daydreams, good memories, funny things
and gold
and life.
black holes.
shimmering gold.
laughter.
pretty things.
Honesty.

and I'm running back to them now.

See ya soon.
